I designed the quilt in French General fabrics originally (hence the French name for the quilt). Of course, you can use any fabrics you like!
There are 5 fabrics ranging from dark to light . As long as you stick to the tonal range, your quilt will look great, whether you keep the colours within one family or make it entirely of multi-coloured scraps!
Here’s a line drawing. Play with the colouring!

The ‘combined total’ for each tone may be made of one fabric or several. For instance, in my quilt I am using one dark fabric, but several fat-eights of different fabrics from several different ranges and my stash to make up the Medium, Light Medium and Light fabrics.
Liliana Soli from Fantasy Quilt in Italy has kindly offered to prepare kits on request with the appropriate tonal range in your favourite colour way.
The kits include 12.55m of fabric, including binding for the 92″ × 92″ quilt, but not backing. For information on the cost of a kit, and to order one, please contact Liliana directly.
