Only one week until Aves starts, and Etoiles Rouges starts today!

For those who haven’t logged in yet, time to make sure you know what you’re doing. You will only be able to see your blocks once you log in; otherwise it will give you a pesky message telling you to register.

  1. what is the fabric requirements for all the bonus blocks please as I do not want to run out of my fabric but want to complete the bonus blocks as well. I believe the requirements don’t include the bonus blocks. Is this so please?

    1. Hi Gaye,
This is going to be a very unhelpful answer .. but I don’t know. As they are bonus blocks, I am designing as we go, and they are just intended to use up scraps. I will be able to give an estimate at the end of the year.
      Cheers,
      Kathy

  2. I am having trouble printing out the patterns for week one that are scaled correctly. I have “opened in browser” as katheryn suggested and it is still wrong. The 2″ scale measures 1 3/4″. Can someone help? I can’t get started until this is correct!

    1. Frustrating for you!
Download the Adobe Reader from Adobe (not the one bundled with Microsoft which doesn’t print correctly). It’s here: https://get.adobe.com/reader/

Then when you are printing, make sure you select “actual size”. Hope that helps!
      Cheers, Kathy

  3. I am getting an alert from my virus protector program that Green Avenue Quilts is a dangerous site. Is anyone else getting this? Could it just be that your site isn’t secure – or has someone hacked into you? I’m concerned about downloading any more of the patterns until I know you are secure and the downloads won’t add a virus to my computer. Thanks for any info on this you can give.

    1. Hi,
The site is secure; it has multi-levels of security.

The issue is with the SSL certificate. My IT people said “The SSL certificate had been successfully installed on your web server though it is not reflecting yet on the web browsers.” They didn’t know how long it would take to propagate.

I don’t want to encourage you to go through your firewalls. In the meantime, just get the blocks from the direct links in the emails, or from Facebook.
      Hope that helps,
      Kathy
